adeus Secures £295,000 in Pre-Seed Funding to Transform Wills and Legacy Planning

February 24, 2025

London, UK [27-Jan-2025]. ‘adeus’, a registered trademark of Mankind Technologies Ltd, today announced the successful close of its pre-seed funding round, raising £295,000 from a global network of angel investors spanning the UK, Europe, USA, and Asia. This funding round builds on the initial investment secured in February 2024, led by Block Dojo, a prominent global venture builder.

The investment will fuel the development of adeus’s innovative digital-first platform for will and legacy planning, positioning the company ahead of upcoming legislative changes in England and Wales allowing ‘electronic wills’ by mid-2025. By leveraging technology, adeus aims to make planning legacies simpler, more secure, and accessible for everyone.

Revolutionising Legacy Planning

adeus exists to eliminate the traditional barriers to wills and legacy planning, such as high costs and complexity. The platform – launched publicly in November – provides intuitive digital tools, comprehensive online guidance, and seamless support to empower users in securing their legacies with confidence and ease. adeus serves both direct-to-consumer audiences and partners with channel providers and employers to extend its reach.

A Global Vision with Local Roots

Founded in 2024 by Nick Adams and Mark Hedley, adeus operates as a remote-first company with headquarters in London. The startup’s global perspective is reflected in its investor base and its ambition to address a universal challenge: making end-of-life planning accessible to all.

Positioned for Growth

“The successful closure of our pre-seed funding round marks a significant milestone for adeus,” said Nick Adams, Co-Founder of adeus. “With the anticipated legislative changes enabling electronic wills, we are uniquely positioned to modernise this critical area of life planning. Our platform is designed to empower individuals and families to take control of their legacies without the traditional barriers of cost or complexity.”
